I especially appreciate your point here that the God of the Universe is more than able to get through to us if He wants to speak.

Although I do believe that taking some, perhaps a few hours or even a few days, time way to focus totally on God is of great value; I agree with you that we need to spend our lives right where He’s planted us. I want to be an influence for His kingdom on the world around me; not retreat from that world.
